i dont want to get anymore anger and disscussions about kick/scream/ban/punish/kill behaviour of some admins, so i thought it was neccesary to give you a guideline how admins should behave.
Warnings:
warnings can be spoken out if a player disobeys server rules (see server rules). in general you should distinquish between 2 types of warnings.
Normal warning:
normal warning in public chat is always allowed, when a player disobeys a rule. the warning should look like that:
@[player name]: [crime] ([reason])
example: @shithead: no rocket spamming because server could chrash
the "cause the server to chrash" is in that case the reason. if the player is rude upon that warning its allowed to punish him for 15 seconds. while the player is punished you have the chance to explain him why insulting is not allowed.
if he insults again you can punish him again fopr up to 30 seconds and the third time you can kick him.
@scream warning:
@scream warnings are best to warn groups, or if a player doesnt react on normal warnings.
example: @scream @all please stop rocket spamming.
if one or several players start insulting you proceed same as above.
punish and kill:
both is only then adequate if a player doesnt react after several warnings. but after that kill/punish a repeated explanation of his misbehaviour necessary because otherwise the player would need to wait.
important:
punish only up to 30 seconds, and 30 seconds only for real bad behaviour.
kicking:
a kick is then a good way if a player doesnt react even after punishes and warnings. but he has to be warned at least 3 times before kicking him.
if more than 50% of the players complain about that player a immedeate kick is allowed.
bans:
a ban is only allowed in extreme cases, e.g. if a player comes again and again for loading a nuke or similar.
in rare cases a immedeate kick is allowed:
-if a player builds or loads a nuke or tries something else to chrash the server
-if a player starts a kickvote against an admin (not always necessary, decide for yourself)
what a server admin is NOT allowed to do:
-its not allowed to forbid stuff that isnt in conflict with server rules. other players so are allowed to take the same weapon you have (spamming is still not allowed, but a reset of projectiles would be more senseful)
-if you have a personal problem then solve it in squad chat or in some other way. argues in public chat isnt very liked. also you have to treat the person as everyone else.
-if other clans are coming onto the server.... it is allowed because its a public server. other clans dont necessarily have to stay out but they shouldnt get the upper hand.
also kicking members of other clans before their first spawn is not allowed, and will result in one week stripped of admin rights. although we know that most people will be from smot and they wont necessarily obey our rules, but we have to be fair.
commercials by other players:
commercials are not allowed at our server, in any form. if any player tries to "lure" another player onto another server you should kick him right there. but it would be nice if you said before why you kicked him.
are admins allowed to use their rights against each other?
yes: if an admin disobeys server rules you should proceed against him as against any other user.
but you are not allowed to do that just for fun.
if you do it several times intentionally youll be stripped of rights for some time.
all admins should follow this guideline
if you do not you can be stripped of you admin rank for time being.
sidenote: because fritz-albert doesnt provide us with the server anymore these rules arent really in power. however: if we get our server back into public sandbox you should still judge other players fairly.
